Taxi Number Plate - 5 Persons
Authentic Taxi number plate and accompanying small plate for interior of the cab.
The process of licensing taxi cabs was first introduced in London during the 1840s. The driver had to display the vehicle's licence number at all times. The Public Carriage Office is responsible for the licensing and regulation of taxi cabs and drivers in London.
Originally under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police, the office is now managed by Transport for London. This number plate features Johnston Font. E is the fifth letter in the alphabet and instantly differentiates the 5 person carriers.
Large number plate: 23 x 16.5 cm Small interior cab plate: 11 x 5 cm
