One of many Boat Race posters this was from 1956. It was published for London Transport and designed by Anthony Atkinson. The poster in many blues advertises the race, showing where to visit to view the event.
Anthony Atkinson was born in 1929 and studied art at Wimbledon School of Art and then later at the Royal College of Art. He was a painter, teacher and exhibition organiser. He was also commissioned by Shell and the Post Office to produce art work.
