This popular poster, ‘Keep Warm – Travel Underground’, is one of a series of four posters designed by the artist Kathleen Stenning, using the subject matter of the English weather, in this case snow, to encourage Londoners to travel in the comfort of the Underground. The other three posters in this series are: ‘Keep Dry’, ‘Keep Warm’ and ‘Avoid the Wet’.
All the posters in this series have simple, bold outlines of the weather above ground whilst showing the warmth and comfort of travelling below ground.
