Your guide to theatreland by Reginald Percy Gossop was designed for the Underground Group in 1928. The rich purple backdrop of this map of London’s theatre district is accompanied by bright pink place markers and green destination text.
Reginald Percy Gossop, born in 1876, began working in 1892 as an apprentice at a wallpaper and fabric designer in London. During this time he began his studied at Birbeck College and Hammersmith School of Art. Gossop designed posters for the Underground Group between 1925-1932 before his death in 1951.
