Routemaster Moquette Design Lambswool Throw

Routemaster moquette was designed by industrial designer Douglas Scott who was responsible for the interior and exterior styling of the iconic Routemaster bus. The pattern features horizontal bands of maroon, brown and light green pile interspersed with vertical lines of yellow loop pile in a tartan style. It was designed specifically to echo the interior colour scheme of the vehicle: yellow ceilings, red lower sides and green seat backs. Bronte is a British manufacturer of beautiful woollen home and fashion accessories including throws, cushions, baby blankets and scarves. Operating from one of Britain's last remainging vertical mills they control the entire manufacturing process to convert raw wool into beautiful products including the initial design, dyeing, blending, spinning and weaving before finally finishing and dispatching. They pride themselves on a balance between modern, innovative design and traditional craft; their mills have been producing fine wools since 1837 and they are very proud to be part of the exceptional wool heritage.
