The Overground standard and priority moquette were designed by London based design company Wallace Sewell in 2008. The design was recoloured for the new Overground 710 trains by Fernando Solis, Product and Industrial Designer for Transport for London in 2016. The colours are inspired by Fernando's travels on the Overground. The green was incorporated because the Overground runs through leafy suburbs, he included the yellow dots as he kept seeing marigolds on his journey and the orange is included to represent the colour of the Overground line.
