Routemaster’s 70th anniversary logo was inspired by the classic AEC (Associated Equipment Company) badge, the manufacturer of the original Routemaster bus in 1954. The original design incorporates the roundel into the AEC badge design.
The new 70th anniversary design maintains the classic colours of the original but has been updated to feature the Routemaster name in the roundel.
